The following is a compilation of figures regarding the population numbers and voters residing, by county, in and around Austin, Texas.

 

Hanged - You Choose (Dees)

 

Travis County, TX

Population (2012 estimate [US Census Bureau]) = 1,095,584

Persons under 18 years of age (2011 percentage [US Census Bureau]) = 23.9%

Those eligible/“qualified” to vote (calculated from the total # of registered voters from the number of people over 18 years of age [in this case, 76.1%], but still “less than” b/c of Title 2, Chapter 11 of the Texas Election Code) = > 833,739

Registered voters [2012, Travis Co] = 635,300

Voter turnout [2012, Travis Co] = 391,708

 

Williamson County, TX

Population (2012 estimate [US Census Bureau]) = 456,232

Persons under 18 years of age (2011 percentage [US Census Bureau]) = 28.3%

Those eligible/“qualified” to vote (calculated from the total # of registered voters from the number of people over 18 years of age [in this case, 71.7%], but still “less than” b/c of Title 2, Chapter 11 of the Texas Election Code) = > 327,118
